Knight Rider Festival IV - Who's going?
Hey,
With the event nearly a week away, I'd like to get an estimate of people from the forum that are attending. Trying to plan something special for the community either Friday or Saturday night. Please reply to this message (or send me a PM or email) if you are, and a preference on night.
"I'll be there, Either night works for me."
Thanks,
Neil

Not going to make it... I felt a little blown off last year, with me driving 1750 each way and the way I was treated, not worth the money it took to get there. May drive to Cal. later in the year for the show there.

When my whole GPS bit is 'Hop on freeway. Arrive in Vegas.', you know that I'll be there. Will drive in Friday afternoon and leave on Sunday. Staying at El Cortez, like last couple times for prices that are insanely cheap and just a block+ away from Fremont. Here's hoping that I get that same room from last year. (Was larger then my living room and so quiet.)
Got a new camera for this. May be able to operate two, if the old one will stay on-line.
No side missions, like catching a couple LV shows, this time. Just the con.

Will anyone from KRO be meeting up before the festivities start on Friday?

On one of the commercials on youtube, it says the convention is from the 17-19th but the video description says 18th to 19th. Which is correct?

Re: Knight Rider Festival IV - Who's going?
The main festivities start on the 18th, but Paul is throwing a party the night before at a place called the Loose Caboose that anyone in town is welcome to, so that's where the variance comes into play: http://knightriderfestival.com/2012/schedule.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The point of this thread was to get a sense of attendance - i'd like to host people with a post VIP party event - something informal just meeting up. Specific details still finalizing. I personally will be arriving right close to the press event, so before will be hard. Friday night seems better for me, and usually people start to head home on Saturday night, which could be hard to have others as well.

Re: Knight Rider Festival IV - Who's going?
I unfortunately will be unable to attend this year's festival. My wife is defending her master's thesis (Chosen Icons in Science Fiction as part of a new exhibit at the EMP museum) in Museology on Friday here in Seattle. She couldn't believe the timing when she learned that the date of it would conflict with the festival and has apologized profusely ever since. She promises though that should there be a festival next year, we will definitely be going. I had so much fun last year meeting so many of you and we had some crazy, great times! Mike, I expect to see some fantastic videos from the iPad and I will be glued all weekend to the board for the latest updates on all of the happenings! Neil, I'm sorry that we will once again miss meeting each other in person but I'm sure one of these days it will happen! Oh, and if anyone ever finds their way here to the Pacific NW and wants to meet up, let me know.
And for those wondering, I pushed for her to see if they could include KITT's front bumper bursting through a wall with bricks flying out around it in the exhibit but it wasn't in their budget. However, as part of her research she did come across a transcript of an interview with Glen Larson in 2009 where he talked about the Knight Rider Festival and the show, so that was cool.

I won't be making it. My car's not close to complete, especially with Shelby discontinuing the wheels, and I'm on a business trip in New Mexico.
Re: Knight Rider Festival IV - Who's going?
Unfortunately I wont be able to make it this time. Its cutting to close to Anime Expo and my department is too busy planning and setting up for con.
It this was in march I wouldnt have a problem tho.Working the convention circuit is complicated, lol.

Should be stopping by on Saturday. How many KITT cars are going to attend? And what time Saturday would be the best (most action)?

Re: Knight Rider Festival IV - Who's going?
I'm not sure when the best time will be, but if check back on the board we'll try to post updates about when any specific activities will be going on. Haven't heard how many KITTs.
