Here it is>>>>>>>>

Orlando Bloom Turns Down Knight Rider
By Josh Tyler: 2006-09-01

Orlando Bloom Turns Down Knight Rider We've been hearing about David Hasselhoff's desire to make Knight Rider into a feature film for years now. Every time the project seems to get going though, it seems to die out. Well it looks like Knight Rider is showing signs of life again, because they're trying to cast a young actor to star in it.

In specific, someone has been talking to Orlando Bloom about taking the lead. According to an article in Britain's Daily Express mailed to us by a scooper, Orlando says he was approached by David Hasselhoff and actually offered the part of Michael Knight's son. "He'd heard I was a fan of the old show and said, 'We're doing the movie version and I'd love you to play my son in it'".

Orlando says he passed on the part because he was never that much of a "Knight Rider" fan, but it probably also has a little something to do with the fact that right now he's too big a star to muck around with talking cars. What actor wants to be stuck playing Hasselhoff's son? Nobody with any kind of future, that's for sure.

If Hoff was pimping Knight Rider to Bloom, don't expect him to stop there. If you're a young Hollywood actor, beware. David Hasselhoff may be stalking you.<<<<<<<<<<<

I really don't like the way they kinda make Kr, and the Hoff out to be a bad thing for an actors career, but thought ya'll would wanna see this anyway...Please respond, I'd like to know what you guys think about this...
:)

Knight Rider was a pretty big deal for all who worked on it. It turned David Hasselhoff into an international star. Glen Larson lists it as one of his personal favourite shows. Even Edward Mulhare said it was a "highlight of [his] professional life" (on "This Is Your Life"), and that was from a distinguished stage and screen career that spanned 50 years.

It's just an example of lazy journalism, just trying to knock David.

To reach a mass audience and not just the core fans, I think they should redo the film from scratch (Like Miami Vice did). The movie should stand on it's own with no ties to the show.

Just my opinion.

As a fan, I don't want to see a film copied from the first episode and I think it's a shame that they have to waste film time in an attempt to appeal to the general market. I understand why they do it, but it's too watered down for the fans when it's a great opportunity.

Speaking as a fan, 100% agreed. However, in the end, it all comes down to the mass market and not the core fans. Miami Vice, Charlies Angels, Starsky & Hutch and Dukes of Hazzard have proven this. I highly doubt that the movie will be a continuation of the series, despite what David Hasselhoff would prefer.

As I recall the Dukes movie bombed, just what I heard anyway. I didn't go see it because I wasn't even interested. Nothing is going to be as good as the tv show. I am just getting tired of hearing about the movie. It will come out when they are good and ready. How they write the story and who they have in it will determine if I will see it or not. I don't like it when some of the "media" put down KR, just makes me mad. They only do it because they are jealous of the show and David's success.

I think the article is a bunch of B.S. and I'm sticking to that until proven otherwise.

I'm not surprised.. Big star pretty-boy turning him down? No big surprise there.

And Hasslehoff is not a big star over here in America.. where the film is going to be produced and filmed... if they hope for any theatre release at least.

How many actors have carried their biggest, earliest performance on their shoulders for 24 years? Not many.

And why oh why are Hasslehoffs music videos so horrible? Did him or his kids make them on their PC's at home? His music is.. eh.. but the videos on the web are hideous.

I don't know if you have seen the video for "Falling in Love" but let me tell you, that is one sexy video. Some of them I think he ment for them to be funny. I love his music.

I don't think that thing about DH supposedly pimping Orlando Bloom for a role for the "Knight Rider" movie is true, according to the said(fake or not) article, but I do agree with the person who said his "Fallin' In Love" music video's sexy, though....
I personally love his music myself, especially when I've heard 5 beautiful foreign language songs from him, even if that sort of thing may not mean a thing to anyone else but me.
