Can you imagine if KARR had the correct programming and KITT never existed!!
Michael: "KARR I NEED YA"
It would be funny.

He wouldn't ran over michael if he had right programming to protect human life instead of self presefictiongfgds, or whatever how do you spell it?

[Self-preservation
This was KARR's only flaw (AFAIR) so if he had been correctly programmed, he would not have been left for dismantling. KITT would not have been built.
Thank God KITT was made. Don't think I would have liked KARR (or KR) much.

I still thinks its funny I picture the scene going like this:
MICHAEL: KARR I NEED YA!
KARR: (system boots up)
MICHAEL: (looks around for KARR to come to him)
(then hears a turbine whine but can't tell where its coming from)
KARR: (Turbo Boosts)
KARR: Goodbye Michael Knight.
I left out the graphic bits.

If KARR had been programmed right, there wouldn't have been a Micheal Knight because the guy/agent/driver KARR killed wouldn't have died.
Anyway, something that's bugged me for awhile is why couldn't they have just reprogrammed KARR instead of starting over with KITT? O_o
Also, is my memory just faltering or didn't they use Micheal Long's conveniently owned Trans-Am for KITT due to time issues?

maybe it took too long to dismantle KARR for wilton knight to see him functioning correctly also they may have already started building KITT before Michael came to the foundation

Kitt wasn't made with Micheal Long's Trans Am. Devon explains it to Micheal in the first episode.
But on reprogrammation of KARR, I think like PHOENIXZERO... Maybe KARR denied programmers change his software!??
The Knight is back!
