Picard to Enterprise: Beam Up Bonnie Barstow

I know this has been brought up before, but I recently borrowed the first season of Star Trek: TNG. One of the episodes, "Angel One", features a guest performance by Patricia McPherson. Here are some screen shots from her appearance:

Whoa.....that's an unexpected thing for me. Never thought she had other roles over the years. What was this episode about anyway?

Wow, talk about a trip down memory lane! I was a huge fan of ST:TNG and taped every episode on VHS. By the time this episode aired, Knight Rider had been off the air for about 2 or 3 years, and I remember watching this episode and when I saw Patricia I yelled, "Hey, that's Bonnie from Knight Rider! What's she doing on Star Trek??"
Anyways, this episode was about the Enterprise crew searching for some lost survivors of a Federation freight ship that had been lost in a remote star system a number of years before hand. They contacted a planet "Angel One", where women were the "dominant" sex. Basically mens' and womens' roles were reversed, and women wore the pants in the society, while men were a LOT more feminine, and smaller too. Turns out the lost survivors of the freight ship had been taken in by the society, but couldn't conform to the reversed roles, so they were treated like criminals and revolutionaries, and had to go on the run. These survivors were able to turn some of the population, and ended up having families with some of the women.
The Enterprise crew beam down and basically tell the leaders of Angel One that what they are doing is wrong, that they aren't trying to stop a revolution, but EVOLUTION. Of course the leader of the planet falls for Riker because he's so manly, and I think one of the little guys liked him too. I haven't seen the episode in a long time, and I'd have to dig through some boxes in the basement to find it, but I think the Enterprise leaves with the survivors and their families. THE END. (WHEW!)

Interesting.....thanks for the description. I'll try to check out that episode if Spike airs it on TV.

I haven't watched all the episodes of ST:TNG. I might have to buy the 1st seson DVD collection.
