The Mad Magazine Parody of Knight Rider

Post by Major Ursa » Thu Jun 01, 2006 5:55 pm

Dose any remember the paroday of Knight Rider from Mad Magazine? It was called Knutt Rider. It was in (I believe) the Sept. 1983 issue of the most popular humor magzine in the world. In the take off, Micheal Knight is Mirco Knutt.

My favorite quote from that satire is:

Girl: Those bullets just bounced right off you.

Micro: THanks to Bunny. She takes good care of Kitty and me>

Girl: Dose she make you wear a bullet-proof vest?

Micro: No, she puts too much starch in my T-shirts.

I also like one line that also tells the truth about KITT. It's a Pontiac Trans Am with the James Bond option package.
"Oh I just went to any Pontiac dealer and asked for the Trans Am with the James Bond option package." - Micro Knutt, Knutt Rider(A Mad Magazine parody of Knight Rider)

I remember seeing something like that, but didn't like it that much.
Now, however, it would be kind of funny.... :) :? 8)

I love the bit where michael drives into the semi and devons on KITT's hood and he says "Micro, you've got very good at driving into a moving truck but would you learn to stop quicker" something like that.

Thans neps for show the article. Another favorite line was written on the back of the semi that said "There is nothing suspicious about a gleaming black truck with skids draging on the raod and a complete service sation inside. SO JUST MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

"Couldn't you go out the same hole you came in?"
"That would be absolutely no fun for my car."
