Funny Blooper in the S1 episode "No Big Thing"

Post by Lauzzy81 » Sat Apr 29, 2006 11:34 am

I was just watching some season 1 episodes and I noticed a funny thing in this episode!

In this episode there's a truck coming towards Michael and KITT and KITT says: "Michael hit the breaks and put it in reverse" about 2 sec later KITT says: " why reverse, we could easerly jumped over??"

This has come up multiple times before. I think the accepted thought is that KITT meant for Michael to reverse far enough to be able to turbo boost over the truck rather than continue reversing for so long.

K2000 is probably right but who knows how fast kitt can go in reverse.

He would have had to back up very fast and create enough room at the same time to jump over, making the situation a difficult one.

I always figured that Michael waited to jump and KITT just instructed him in what to do, than asked why he hadn't jumped.
I guess that's kinda the same thing, but its a little different.
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

I always thought it was a blooper that made it to TV, that the writers forgot which way they were going to go with it.
