It can speak Japanese, has a working scanner, and is insanely detailed.

It's up for pre-order at ActionToyHouse.com for $139.99 Canadian dollars.

More detailed than the models that have already come out? Could you please provide a link?

It doesn't look any different than the previous model. In fact it looks the same.

That pic of the RX-8 robot is pretty sweet!
Flyer Guy: "You really a talking car?"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"

Thats binaltech Transformer Jazz....who also comes in white. The Aoshima car is the same as far as I can tell, with the addition of the voice chip.

I spoke to Aoshima about why there isn't an english version, and said theres not as much demand.....ie ERTL haven't sold as many KITT cars as we first thought.

If they produced enough models to sell in the first place, maybe more consumers would buy them. A year later, I still have trouble finding them in stores. Not every customer is going to order one online. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a large amount of consumers have no idea it even exists.

...and theres loads of the things all over central london. Its not too hard to find one and nearly all the model shops have them. If they are not selling, then it would explain why I see so many of them around.

I don't really know... I mean, the car looks exactly like my JoyRide KITT and that has normal wheels without the white brand name. Okay, it can't talk but if you get a small MP3 Flash Player and have a steady hand for DIY, you can make KITT talk for much cheaper and in all the languages you want. I don't know how much 140 Canadian Dollars worth but I have got my JoyRide KITT for 69 EUROs (including the post fee) on EBay.
