AUTOMATIC SHIFTING

Post by Keon2005 » Sun Jan 16, 2005 6:02 pm

Does anyone know why Michael Knight or KITT sometimes shifts the transmisson into (1) when they can just shift into (D), They sometimes do it on the DOH with the General Lee. Doesn't that mess up your transmission at high speeds like that?

Probably just some "continuity" problems. The people who mix rehashed footages (such as gear shifting, gas pedal depressing, pressing the turbo-boost button, etc) don't care if the footage they insert between scenes are really accurate to the storyline or not.

it all depends on what speed you are going and what gear you put it into. When you step on teh gas hard and thetrans downshifts its not really hurting anything. Its when you jam it down to first @ 80 MPH that stuff starts breaking.
