Knght Rider Bloopers

Post by TransAmKITT2000 » Sat Nov 13, 2004 6:54 pm

I was watching the episode "Blind Spot" and I noticed a dent in
KITT's passengerside rear panel above the wheel it is easy to see
and you can't miss it.I remember watching another episode where you
can see the shadow of the camera hanging out of KITT's driverside
door.Is there another bloopers that seem to "stand out" when you
watch the series?

Today, I was watching the episode - The Topaz Connection. And there was this scene where Michael and Kitt was pursuing a 4x4 and Kitt fires up a Turbo Boost and you can see a camera mounted on Kitt's right rear quarter panel. I also have a screenshot of one of Kitt's hubcap falling off after landing a turbo boost. I would post it but unfortunatly i dont know how to post pictures. Can someone host it for me? Regards. :D

The one that sticks with me since the orginal airing is when KITT is landing from a turbo boost and the view is from the passenger side door so all you see is the front fender, wheel and the group coming at you. As the car lands the air extractor vent pops out and goes flying past the camera.

I think that shot is re-used on several episodes.

Sometimes after landing a Turbo Boost you would see the fiberglass bodied stunt car flop in the front. Ill try to get the screenshot.

TurbomanKnight, try uploading it here:

Then to upload it here do this (replace the <>'s with []'s)

<img=yourlink.to.picture></img>

Where yourlink.to.picture is the link to the picture you uploaded at imageshack. When you upload a picture there, they should give you the link to it then.

Adds a Flavor

Post by TransAmKITT2000 » Sun Nov 14, 2004 10:07 am

It is good to see a television show that doesn't take itself too seriously
on its filiming mistakes. It adds sort of a flavor to Knight Rider. It shows
that KITT needs repair after each completed assignment.Even an
indestructable car needs repair.

Not just in the end of the assignment, but before they go out, KITT seems to always get some kind of upgrade which they end up using in the mission. :)

And like Bonnie once said "There's only one thing wrong with this car... The nut behind the wheel."

I was watching "not a drop to drink" the other day and in the scene where KITT plays UFO it looks like the nose has a serious crack running down it just under the passenger side headlight.

I've seen Two bloopers during the chase scene in "Trust Dosen't Rust",

When Micheal has already jumped off onto KITT, You can still see a leg, Hanging off the roof of KARR, Though the Rear Window.

Before micheal jumps onto KARR's hood, You can see a sillhouette reflection, On the windsheild.

I loved that UFO scene. :) I never noticed the crack though. And I just re-watched that (for I don't know how many times now) just the other night.

Thanks TurbomanKnight! Yeah, I see what you mean Army. That does look like it got smashed in or something. Might have been one of the stunt cars they happened to use in that scene.

The car in the picture is definitely a stunt car double and not the star car. The hood isn't even alligned with the body, and the scanner doesn't have the trailing effect. Btw, nice pic TurbomanKnight! :D

Your all welcome! :D They probably used a stunt car because its possible for the driver to lose control on the dirt and park himself up a tree.

The hood is probably alligned properly. It has the plastic stunt shell on it. They used a platic shell to cover the car for the parts when bullets would bounce off the car and a charge would be used on the surface of the vehicle to simulate the bouncing bullet. The plastic shell protected the paint and the vehicle. That's why it looks like the hood isn't latched properly.

Yup, a stunt shell on the hood would explain it. I think it would have looked better if they also covered the headlights and turn signal blackouts with the shell. It would have evened out the surface a bit instead of making the hood look like it has been popped up.

Michael: "We've almost got'em KITT!"
KITT: "Michael, we have to go back."
Michael: "Why?!"
KITT: "...We lost my hubcap on that last jump..."
Michael: *groan*
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

KITT: Oh dear. How embarassing.
Michael: KITT! Speed it up! There's something following us!
KITT: That's my hubcap, Michael.

Could you imagine the lawsuit from a molecular bonded hubcap slicing through an on-coming car!
