1/8th KR KITT

So, here the first photos of the final result.
Soon the oficial photos.

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
Looking fantastic. I'm half expecting the tires to start smoking and that car to lift 45 degrees and do a standing turbo jump.

- The fender: the biggest problem of the factories when they make a Firebird scale model. The curve almost ever is wrong.

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
1/8th 'should' represent the measurements of the actual car...divided by 8. That still makes it a really sizable model.
For example, Matchbox cars are typically considered 1/64'th scale. And, those can fit in the palm of your hand.

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
Yes, I understand how the ratio thing works... I'm building a 1:1 replica
82 Firebird, if memory serves me correctly, 14.7 feet long...
/ 8 = 1.8375 feet...

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
That is phenomenal!! I really like the attention to detail. The first thing I was looking for was the quarter panel to roof transition and you addressed that perfectly! That is a work of art! Great job all around!

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
Thank You Guys!
For the size, It is with original Camaro kit size: 59,7cm long.
When I was building, I searched for all sites the 82 Firebird dimensions. But I`ve never found that.
So, I looked many photos and tried construct the lines of the body like the lines of the photos.
I live in Brazil. Here don`t have that car.

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
Beautiful Job... are you the creator of the kit, or did you buy it on ebay?
As for our estimated conversion... way off...
23.5 inches long...
Nice...

Maybe in the future.

Re: 1/8th KR KITT
What about the scanner? Did you modify the one from Aoshima or have you built your own one?
