I am thinking about getting a Hallmark Ornament Kitt and I wanted to know if it is a good choice.

It's a great choice! You will not regret it. I did a video overview of the ornament if you want to take a look.

I normally only collect HotWheels, but these are very well detailed and make a nice collectible piece.

Pac-Man- I watched your video. It is a very nice piece. I have a question though. When you touch it with your fingers does it leave finger prints?

Casual handling will leave some finger prints, but nothing bad. That seems to be that way with anything black and shiny.

Hey Pac-Man. Will you let me know and post pictures of the ornament after the hook is removed please? I want to do that myself.

I usually collect Star Wars and Star Trek ornaments, but when I heard that KITT was coming out, I knew I had to get him. I was not disappointed! Hallmark ornaments are always top quality, and KITT is no exception. You will not be disappointed. I keep my Hallmark ornaments out year round, and have them hang on cup hooks I put on two of my nice oak shelves. KITT is sitting on a shelf, though, as I've run out of room for hanging.

I agree with other posts that this ornament is quality. Looks great. Has a working scanner.
(Well, better then the 'KITT dipping into acid pit' scanner.) And, even talks.
(I would have prefered a whole slew of voice samplings. But, the one and only thing states the purpose better then any other sampling could have done.) Considering that it's meant to be hanging upon a tree limb, it really does the job.

Sorry for the late reply, but I will snap a picture of the ornament with the hook removed when I get home today.

Sorry I did not get a chance to take pictures yesterday. I will today when I get home. As far as the project, I have not done much with it lately. I have been sick and have not been working on the project. KITT is due back from the body shop though, so I should have some updates soon.

I thought so too. I actually thought about filling it in with epoxy to smooth things out more, but really it isn't that noticeable. I think it shows up more in the pictures than in person.

I have mine sitting on the movie bookshelf, but I like having the hook still there in case I want to hang it on the Christmas tree at any one point.

How did you remove the loop? Can I twist mine out?Do I have to take it all apart and do it from the inside?

I do not have mine handy (I left it in my friend's car *face palm*) but if it is anything like other HM ornaments the loop is just screwed in, just twist it to the left a few times nice and slow and it should come right out easy.

Worked perfectly, thanks.I'll just use my childlike imagination and pretend that hole is where the parachute pops out from.Too bad we can't send this back to the kid in us from the 80's.We didn't have such great toys back then.Hell,we are getting better kr merchandise now than when the show was on the air.
