What happened to the screen used, full sized KITT's from
Junk Yard Dog? I'm talking about the acid worn K.I.T.T. and the restored light gray primer pre-MBS K.I.T.T.? Was either reused elsewhere in the show?
Little note - The light gray primer K.I.T.T. was a seperate car from the rebuilt "black gloss" K.I.T.T. seen later on the test track - in fact a sharp eye can spot the light gray K.I.T.T. parked in the background during Michael and K.I.T.T.'s run on the obstacle course after our K.I.T.T. is back in black. (I give full credit to the original poster who pointed this out as a goof sometime ago on the board)
What about the light gray primer K.I.T.T. from
Knight of the Juggernaut?

Well, I can't verify this, but I believe that the KITT seen in primer in JYD was not in fact painted...I think they applied some sort of thin coating to the car and then painted that in primer. If you look closely at JYD, you can see abnormalities in the finish, like this shot:
Notice the blackout recessions are filled in, even though this is a season 2/3 nose...
Just a guess though!

Sort of like a temporary coating? Perhaps something easily removed with water like Flutt's water-soluable paint job in
Custom Made Killer? That would be interesting. I wonder if they have the car listed on the call sheets for
Junk Yard Dog?

The car is probably listed, but if it was simply given a "skin" then the call sheets might not be of any help..might just give the Universal ID and nothing else...

Just my thoughts they grey kitt is defanently autocruise 1 if you notice the scene where kitt is driving the course himself you can see the first season dash ( 2 monitors) I suspect that the car was used as a stunt car this was probably the only car that was painted gray
