which KITT voice light is better?

voice box season 2. I think is the best. Probably because i prefer season 2 dash to the season 3/4 dash. Does any1 know why they changed Kitts season 1 dash from the larger monitiors to the smaller ones as the series progressed?

I like season three the best but the 08Pilot was good also it just didn't need to be as big and gone if KITT was showing things on the monitor. If the line was vertical that would have been cool to. I think a color changing VM would help with mood as it was difficult to understand if KITT was kidding or angry sometimes till after Mike's response. I didn't like the voice orb as it was too much. The directional thing was nice but it was just to ricey.

I like season 1 (2nd half) and season 2 Voicebox the best. It's a classic.

I would have to say the segmented voice modulator would be the better one.
The pilot version resembles My Mother The Car voice box, as some of you may know back in the day My Mother The Car was a Ill concieved sitcom which bombed badly.
That is why when Knight Rider was going to to done as a series most people in Hollywood wouldnt touch the project
and when it was done by Glen Larson he took it and proved that it not only could be done, but done well.

Great topic. I like KITT's voice box mudulator in season 1. It literaly was a voice box too, because it was a red square-- and boxes are in the shapes of squares!!

The red square voice modulator was when KITT's voice was more soft, and delicate sounding, and I liked that--maybe KITT sounded more childlike then and he called Devon Mr Miles!!!

But I also liked KITT with the 3 line vocalization thing. He sounded more "mature". And I think it was a little easier to tell if KITT sounded angry like in KILLER KITT.

When KITT's lines were spoken mean and angrily in KILLER KITT, the 3 line voice modulator would get brighter to show his voice sound more forcefull and angy.

Excuse me.. KITT is an IT, not a HE !!

I like KITT's voice modulator in the second half of season one through season four. The first one was okay, but you're right, the second one does a better job of showing how "feels." I just don't get one thing, if he didn't get the new one until a few episodes into sesaon one, then how did KARR have one similar to his newer one, even though KITT was created after KARR? So wouldn't KITT have already had the second one in the beginning of Knight Rider???
