GST@Comic Con and in light of recent cast 'revisions'

Post by pheonix_knight » Mon Nov 10, 2008 7:22 pm

I remember at Comic Con, GST did say that they had plans for the (at the time) proposed 13 ep that had been comissioned and that they had a storyline arc for that. He went on to say they also had plans to go to 22 and beyond.

My question is this...

When they found out about the extension to 22 episodes, did they extend the plan for the story arcs (ie to do with Mike's missing past and KARR etc) or are we going to get a sort of 'mid season' resolution and then a KR08 VOL2 scenario with new arcs...?

Of course I welcome speculation from other posters but I do hope someone in 'production' could find a few min for this one too...

After 13 episodes it will be an entirely new Knight Rider with Carrie Rivai, Alex Torres and Charles Graiman gone.

My guess would be that GST would have planned a 13 ep arc that could have served as the end of the show had they not extended it. Since we now know that the casting decisions were made a while ago, I'm sure that the character story arcs were meant to come to a head by episode 13. This also makes sense as it makes the show easier to package in a DVD set had it not gone beyond 13 episodes since it would be a self contained storyline instead of ending on a cliffhanger or something.
