I am building a KITT replica from a Hot wheels Car I went to Wal Mart yesterday and picked up a Shelby GT500
Mustang, They did not have a GT500KR mustang but I figured the only visable differances was a bigger hood scoop
I hope to get working on it when I come home from school tonight

I did much the same but with an 07 Shelby Mustang GT 500 from Hot Wheels. It looks ok, ish, but to be honest I rushed it. (I'm not good with patience.)
Any chance of seeing pictures of yours?

I was looking through some old boxes, and I found a Pontiac Banshee (same size)in blue so I'm going to repaint that red and then the Knight 4000 will be born and I'm thinking of buying another Shelby GT500 to paint the new KARR

Was that made by shelby collectibles, the same people that make the 1:18?
Here is mine converted to KITT.

I was well impressed with the detail, right down to indicator stalks on the steering column, matt black stripes, badges lights etc.

So wait a second, is this version normal Hot Wheels size or more of a model size? You keep saying hot wheel but with all that detail it would be very hard to do that. I am just wonderin. Otherwise, will you make me one? *winks* just kidding, I want to make both KI2T and KI3T by myself someday.

Ok. I went to Wal-Mart today, and I got three different cars. I picked up a 2008 Ford Shelby GT-500KR, a 2010 Ford Mustang GT, and a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. I got the Camaro because the nose right below the hood has an area that looks like it was just made for KI2T's scanner.
I was wondering if someone would be willing to strip, prime and paint them for me? I'd pay for shipping both ways, as well as for your time and supplies. I would want the two GT's black with the lighter black racing stripes. The Camero I would want all black, no racing stripes. It would be cool, but I imagine very hard, to put KNIGHT on the licence plates. Maybe KR would be easier?
They are Hot Wheels size, but they are NexGen Muscle brand.

The model I pictured is 1:64 Hot Wheels/Matchbox sized. Yes the level of detailing is amazing.

I managed to snag one of the Shelby Collectibles version. Been looking forever for one... TRU never resocked and finally Wal-Mart had one, and I snagged it like a kid in a candy store... lol! My wife said, "Put it in the buggy and let's go." Of course it was all sarcastic, she doesn't care what I buy.
The only thing that gripes me about this car is the little wheels. They are very thin... they need to be a little thicker and I think it would make the car that much better.
But none the less, the best version for KITT... so now I have the 1/18 scale and this one... I'm happy.

Thanks.. Saw the eBay link. Kinda pricey from there if you ask me. I found a cheaper one at Diecast Alley. I've just ordered it. >>>
