The new car doesnt seem to have a sense of vanity which the ki2t certainly did with remarks about being out of place in police car impounds with 'criminal types' or feeling out of date in KOTJ just before he acquired the C button and SPM. And of course, although not considered in the same reality, KR2000 when Ki2t was pleased with his new look.
Ki2t would most definitely have made a comment in 'Journey....' when Mike and Sarah were on the bonnet of the car. He wouldnt have made the comment at the time because he knew Sarah was covering the images shown on the hood but certainly when they were in the car together at some point later...
Maybe as Ki3t grows he will acquire these traits
