One Man is STILL making a difference!

Realistically look at the statement which is my subject header but was of course, originally a quote from Wilton Knight.

He said "one man Can make a difference" (and he emphasised the 'CAN' for Michael Long's benefit)

but Michael was never actually alone...

There was ALWAYS a MASSIVE resource behind him (just look at KOTP for evidence of how many employees were working on Ki2t alone, not to forget helicopter pilot, doctors, researchers etc....)

Point being, lay off the new interpretation because they focus more on the characters of people who might have only had bit parts in TOS but in fact were no less important...

the point Wilton made, which some contributors missed, was one man MAKES the DIFFERENCE

look at another way, imagine a cake on the anniversary of your birth, its a lovely cake, nothing bad and nothing fantastic(no disrespect to people who dont believe in birthdays...)

Then someone comes along and gives you the candles, puts them in the cake and lights them for you....

Its STILL a cake but the candles MAKE THE DIFFERENCE......

THAT is where new KR is coming from IMO (just worked out what IMO means, wow im sad!!! )

I don't think the problem is weather there was ever a big team backing Micheal Knight or not. The problem is that the old episodes focused on Micheal and Kitt, with the majority of the action being about Micheal and Kitt, smashing through walls, turbo boosting, beating up the bad guys. And a lot of that action was about showing Kitt being close to indestructible, hence the smashing walls, being shot at, have bombs blowing up under him.. etc

That's what this new version DOESN"T have. Knight Rider was about Kitt. Kitt is what made the show unique and why we all tuned in every week.. Kitt the talking (nearly) indestructible car.

We're 3 episodes in to this new show and Kitt still hasn't even crashed into another vehicle yet, let alone smashed through a wall.

I'm sorry but theres some things that the writers and producers NEED to put into this show to make it worthy of the name it carries and if they're not willing to do that, or can't afford to do it, then they need to change the name of this show to Viper, because in all honesty, it has a hell of a lot more in common with Viper than it does with Knight Rider at the moment.

I had really high hopes for this show. I was excited to have a new Knight Rider which I hoped would hold some of the elements of the original while bringing new exciting ideas of improvement. I even liked the idea of combining elements of Viper with Knight Rider... but in all honesty, I'm just saddened by whats been done so far.

A talking transformer car does not a Knight Rider make.
