Yes, these options show a clear bias. I would vote for "Like for the most part, maybe mix softer", or something like that, but not for any of the options provided.

Yeah, they do need to mix it softer. The hard rock music the first time Mike met the Black Ops lady was particularly loud and quite annoying, they even put in the lyrics of the song, not just instrumental. In terms of background music, I think the 2-hour pilot episode nailed it FAR BETTER than this episode 101. Remember the background music when KITT was conversing with Sarah about sadness? And also the music during the funeral scene at the end? I loved them both and even went to the length of Googling them up and looking for the mp3s. That's GOOD music!

Im just opposed to playing music period all the way through the episode. Like when Mike was picking up the package from the bridge, and the car pulls up and all you hear is the blaring music in the background. Its just really annoying. In the original series they would play "GOOD" music "clips" at certain times like when KITT and Michael are traveling distances, driving into towns, etc. NOT when there is just talking going on, or even when Michael got into confrontations. It was a VERY conservative use of music and of good taste. The stuff now is just garbage. Too much wanting to be like Fast N Furious. "Silence is Paramount" for this show majority of the time. Use more sound effects and less music even.
