Will the intro change?
I was wondering because I believe it was never brought up when there was a chance to speak with GST or the others. If someone can ask maybe Neil, is the intro going to change or the music at all and maybe resemble the classic a little more?
Thanks!
Joe
Thanks!

Signs point to yes. Both visual and with slight tweak to audio.

Re: Will the intro change?
Yeah, I'd like to see an updated version of the classic intro.
But there are some new characters and much more shooted scenes, an updated attack mode, so I guess it's likely we'll get a new intro.
And for the backpilot intro, I reall thought that animation, when KITT truned into bubbles, was stupid, it didn't make any sense. So I hope we don't see this again.

Yeah, I really don't see any reason why they would keep the same intro, especially since it kind of was transitioned into from KITT driving away from Graiman's place. I'm sure the music will change too, at least I hope so.

Re: Will the intro change?
I personally hope they use the music that they've used in some of the promos and stuff with the revamped version of the classic theme. And i hope that we get a real intro as well. The big thing nowadays is it seems that it's all about advertising and the more commercials the better so the networks tend to stray away from actual intro's to the shows now or have very short ones so that they have more time for commercials. Take the new 90210 as an example. They revamped the classic theme into a MAYBE 15 second intro so that advertisers would have more time. Some shows don't even get Intros like Lost. I wish that they were doing with Knight Rider what they're doing with Fringe with the limited commercial interruption.

They only did that for the premiere the series isn't going to have limited commercials.

In the commentary for the February movie (on the DVD at FYE right now) David Bartis said most likely a whole new intro would be done for the TV show.
