How long will episodes be?
Any got an idea how long we can exspect each episode of the new series to be?
As the"2 hour pilot" was infact 1 hour 20 minutes minus the ad's that would suggest 40-42 minutes roughly each episode and not 46-48 minutes like we used to get with classic Knight Rider, or was the airing of the pilot just overboard with the ad breaks?
Or do shows that are meant to be an hour long shorter these days in genral?

I think shows are just shorter in general to have room for commercials (and make a buck).
To go on other shows as a guide:
Lost: ~43.30 on average
Bionic Woman: 41-44 min
Sarah Connor Chronicles: 41-44 min
So it looks like your calculations are correct.

Yeah, 41-45 minutes is the usual run time for a hour long TV show now, I think it has been for many years. Just like half hour shows are roughly 20 to 22 minutes long.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

Re: How long will episodes be?
Thanks Neil.
I was thinking along those lines, alough I have not realy been in to many new shows as of late, even quiz shows like Millionare etv have loads more ads than when they started 10 or so years ago.
what tv i do watch I ususaly record on my PVR so I can skip through the ad's.
so Knight Rider will have about 4 breaks per episode I guess.
Roll on the dvd's.lol.

Current TV shows are written in 5 acts to accommodate more commercial breaks.
The pilot was a little shorter than average because they didn't have the money to shoot the full length.

Re: How long will episodes be?
I doubt it. I have a feeling they won't even show the backdoor pilot again since the series is supposed to be very different. Then again, NBC will probably need some filler for Saturday...
