So do you guys think the gary thomson interview (in the news section) bodes well for the possibility of KITT's interior being improved?? I sure hope so, he seems to have some good ideas.
One of these days I'll make an image of how a dashboard for KITT would look if I were designing it. I don't see a problem with keeping analog gages AS A BACKUP, they should be smaller and set off from the "glass cockpit", i.e., digital dashboard, so it is clear that they are separate analog gages that do not require the computer to be functional.

I know that, in the pilot, they weren't able to get the interior anywhere near where they wanted it. They just ran out of time. So, I would think that there will be extensive changes to the car's interior.

Thompson has already confirmed he wants the "wow" factor and the fact they're going to redesign the "attack" KITT. He's also pointed out his disappointment with the dash. Let's hope that the improvments to design carry through to the sets and story as well. Like I said as a fan, I'm curiously optimistic.

I remember reading a Maxim magazine about 10 years ago about a new technological breakthrough. They were able to make an all glass or glossy plastic dashboard where you had everything touchscreen. You can drag your gauges and meters around for your custumization.I don't think it ever got released.
Maybe it's simaler to Wilton's airplane design where it was bought to never be released on the market.
