Wouldnt you rather support it than have NBC bring up another lame reality show to replace it? I loved the movie, but I can bet that if it doesnt get a series, there will be a new reality show to replace it which would be worse.
All pilots suck compared to even the 5th episode in the first season. Whenever I get into a show, I watch more than the pilot because I always think they are just ok or even bad compared to the rest. Im not saying this was bad, I loved it, I am saying it will be a bad episodes compared to the others.
Why would you want NBC to desperately cancel KR as a series just to have another reality show put on? Yes it has some problems (most of you think it has more which is ok) but IMO, it need more time to develop. Why not just accept the car and the plane (which I like, I always wondered how Devon was at the mansion then a scene later he was in a semi at wherever michael was) As for the voice, they can always change it up a bit and add some post-computerlike effects. The really didnt have much time to mess with Kilmer's voice due to arnett's contract.
Yes the movie had some faults, but doesnt every TV show and every pilot? Take out the car, plane, actors, and voice what do we have left? The acting and plot. Those were the only real issues I had with it and it wasnt as bad as some other shows that went on to last a long time. Look at Star Trek Next Gen pilot. The acting was horrible in it and the show lasted 7 seasons and the acting is still good watching the show today. Plot, yeah some people will hate plots in every episode, some people will like them. The good thing about shows is, the plots will change every episode almost all the time unless its a 2/3 parter.
Anyway thats just my thoughts.
