voice of kitt

Post by louis0073 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:55 pm

I thought I could let this go but am I the only one not happy with Val Kilmer as the voice of kitt. I think they did a fantastic job with the new show, tying in old with new. Val Kilmer just has too much of a soft spoken voice. I guess almost too human to be Kitt. The voice of Will Arnett just seemed like such a perfect match. Much deeper, more artificial, more authorative. The conversation with Sara in the beginning you had to turn up the volume he was so soft spoken. I guess, like everyone else could not be more excited about having this show come back hope that we get to keep it running......Just find a new voice....please.

No, you're not the only one who isn't totally happy with Val's voice for KITT. For me, it was like Daniels voice, but no personality. I don't know if that makes sense, but that was what I got out of it.

I agree. I think he sounded like KARR a bit, not that that's bad. But I agree with KnightLady, he didn't have that same human quality in his voice that I was hoping for.
And as for being soft-spoken, that's mostly because of the audio mixing. The last minute change of voice actors really messed with it.
