KITT's turbo boost RULED in this!

And the lightening bolts KITT shot off - that was so cool!

And yeah, the fight scenes really were awesome. I loved when he hit that guy with that car door. That was wild.

I think if they do come out with this DVD I want to get it for sure! Would make a nice addition to my growing KR collection.
BTW, speaking of new DVDs, I just got Herbie: Fully Loaded and Stealth (Stealth is the one with EDI, the AI jet plane with a predisposition of KARR's in a sense.

I just noticed a couple things. 1. There is no KNIGHT license plate on the back of KITT in the closer shot, and 2. he has amber turn signal lights in some scenes but not in the garage fight scene where he's briefly shown twice on a lift with his scanner going.
Awesome though! I see it's also ready for sale. I gotta get this when I get some more money.

Sorry but it sucked.
The turbo boosts and ski mode looked *too* animated and CGI-ish.
The cool thing about the series was that the stunts were REAL. No enhancements were done.
So what's to enhance?
The fight scenes were okay but it reminded me of 'the matrix' a'la martial arts that didn't look authentic.
Btw, you DO know that this was just a fan made thing?

I knew it was a fan-made film.
It was posted here before but they didn't have this trailer up back then, but a different (not as great) one. I really liked this one and I hope that some of the ideas in it that maybe David Hasselhoff himself will have considered (like the smooth turbo boosts and the fight scene style) for the new movie too. It would be a nice example for him to look at possibly, for more ideas, I think.

Hey for it being just a fanfilm, I think the effects are pretty good. It's not like they have access to or the money to afford professional CGI companies. Put it to you this way, when and if a KR movie ever does come out, the effects will look like that, only 10x better.Wizster wrote:Yeah, I know what you mean, but it's not exactly Hollywood is it?Skav wrote: The turbo boosts and ski mode looked *too* animated and CGI-ish.

Flyer Guy: "You really a talking car?"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"

Yeah but the point I was trying to make is they can make the jumps appear smoother but don't do it with CGI or any other digital effect.
The stunts should be kept real since the stunt performers proved this is possible.
Use miniatures, as they did in the series, whenever they have to but don't do it out of laziness.
Try to retain the magic and atmosphere that was in the original series and I think the use of CG would retract from that.
It may take more effort and money but it'd be worth it in the end for the final result.
The fights definetely need to be polished up but the fight at the end of KR2000 between Michael and Watts was at least half decent so I think Hasselhoff would have considered this, being a big screen version of the film.

Did they really need to animate a reverse 180?
