Good thing the voice mechanism works! Based on your pics, the car is slightly covered with dust inside and out (probably from years of display in an open environment). To clean the interior you will have to unscrew the nuts under the car and then unfasten the four clips holding the chassis to the body (two clips under each door). You will need a rather large flathead screwdriver draped in cloth to do this.
When the interior is detached from the body, cleaning the cabin compartment is now a snap. I used a computer cleaner solvent and a clean cloth to remove dust particles on the seats, dash, windshield and floorboard. Don't get the dash decals wet though, they will deteriorate.
The outer body shell I washed first with mild soap and water. After drying I waxed with Turtle Wax car wax (I could not afford real plastic modeling wax). For hard to clean areas like the front bumper light assemblies, use small cotton buds.
Take note, do not wax the red
Knight 2000 badgings on the doors. They tend to bleed off, so do take care not to erase them.
It's not easy to do and it requires a significant amount of time...but cleaning and shining it is fun and specially gratifying when done.
