Here's how the ficathon will work.
Anyone who wants to sign up will get a KR quote PMed to them. Your mission, if you choose to accept it is to write a story around that quote. You can use the quote in the story, pick up where it left off, rewrite that part of the episode, or just write something based on the idea in the quote. It's really pretty open ended -- it just needs to be inspired by the quote in some way. The story doesn't have to be long, just a minimum of 100 words.
The deadline for the stories will be January 10th. Stories should not be posted before then, even if you finish early.
If anyone needs a beta reader, let me know. I can probably do it or at least point you in the direction of someone willing to help. After the deadline, everyone will post their stories (more on how that'll go later). After the stories are posted here, they can be posted anywhere else you'd like. I think that's about it. If I forgot anything or something isn't clear, let me know. I'll start PMing the quotes out tomorrow.
I'm afraid I'll have to bow out of the ficathon. There's been some things going on lately and I've decided to leave the community altogether. This is a fun board and I wish all the best, but I have to move on.
