MG Advert - Ski Mode Ahoy!

Anyone in the UK will probably have seen this. It usually comes on during the Euro 2004 games if you want to catch it.

Basically its a load of MG cars playing football (soccer to my american friends

), and during the game one of the cars goes up on two wheels ala KITT to avoid the others.

And that particular shot looks exactly like the shot of KITT from the front view when he was in ski mode in the race, from the pilot.

Its an obvious nod to KR in my opinion.

There is even a long shot from the side, which is an identical pass to the pilot when KITT is in the destruction derby.

Not that shot of above, Mike..I would say just before KITT comes down on 4 wheels again, I think there is a car headin to the right or in a cross direction but I'm not sure.

Btw, did anyone hate that hillarious bouncy dummy that is in the passenger seat?

As kitt comes down on 4 wheels again, watch the dummy, it hillariously springs left and right.

I had the same reaction and KR thought as well - definetely one of the best motorcar adverts ever. I always find the motorcar adverts the most enjoyable and entertaining. Something about the way they're shot and directed - slick, fast and stylish.
