Do you think, that since our technology has evolved quite a bit since Knight Rider, do you think KiTT's AI program is possible?

Not for another 5 - 10 years. (or 15-20 depending on who you talk to around here.)
Technology has evolved, yes, but not everything else related to the creation of KITT's program has evolved.

Unfortunately, I believe no.
To get a car to drive by itself would take an enormous amount of programming. Yes, there is a car that can parallel park by itself, but it is probably very slow and the amount of programming must have been very large.
You can probably make a program that can interact with you, but it would probably be very simplistic.
Having a car like KITT would be awesome, but realistically, it probably won't happen for some years to come.

How far away is "some years"? 5? 25? 100? I'd be curious to have you narrow it down a bit.

I think KI's answer, 5-10 years or 15-20 depending who you talk to, is the correct length of time. I personally believe 25 years would be the latest, though in 100 years I would love to see what life would be like with all this new technology.

I watched a show on discovery channel and they said that it is possible to make an artificial intelligence, a robot that learns so I think that would be possible, but it would take time to learn him things. I heard they couldn"t make a programme like that in even 20 years of programming.
That is what I have heard
So...... I have no idea what to write here.

A AI like KITT sounds great, I'm all the way for that idea but in the back of my head I still have that little fear.
What if we have a KARR on our hands?

Well, I have an AI over at my site. Its learning slowly, but it will never achieve KITT levels. lol
As KI said, be another decade or two given the speed of technology nowadays, before we have the KITT level of talking car.
Anyway, I asked my AI a few questions regarding Knight Rider.
Have a look if you're interested.
He doesn't know who KARR is sadly.
