I would like to hear which season does K.I.T.T. look the best. My favorite is season 4

, because K.I.T.T. gets supper pursuit mode

and becomes a convertible

!

I am the voice of the Knight Industries Two Thousand Micro Processor, K I T T for easy reference, K.I.T.T. if you prefer.

Another reason why I like season 4 is that K.I.T.T. CAN DRIVE THROUGH LAVA!!!!!!!!

When I first saw it, I almost didn't believe it. But it turns out, it was in Knight Flight to Freedom. That blew my mind!

Season 4 was always my favorite as well. I liked how it looked much more futuristic than the season 1/2 dash, which was always in line with KITT being "the car of the future". Given how the unanimous preference on this thread so far is for Season 4, it always puzzles me why the vast majority of KITT replica builders choose to go with the season 1/2 look. If I ever have a replica of my own, it'll be Season 4 all the way!

Exactly, I've even seen more Season 3 replicas than Season 4 ones.
Something I also never understood about people who have/are making Season 4 replicas, why do 99% of them only have the front nose but the interior is the Season 3 one.

I liked the season 4 dash more because it looks more futuristic but I think you get more information on the season 1/2 dash between the extra meters located on the right pannel just before the monitors, the lower level meters next to the mode panel, an extra monitor to show more information. The left side of the dash had more area for information to be displayed too like fuel flow, automatic pilot, another number gage. We were missing the surveilance mode meter for season 3/4 even though even if we saw it as an insert clip it was shown during some of the episodes.

Another reason for season four dash is that he also has an emergency brake system. K.I.T.T. always puts safety first!

Kitt didn't have a say in installing the emegency braking system. The only reason it was installed was slowing down for regular brakes in SPM. He never used it outside of that mode. Before season 4, kitt had reverse retro rockets used in hearts of stone when he needed to stop instantly at high speeds. He also had the passive laser restraint system in season 1/2 dash first used in season 3 premiere Knight of the Drones.

Wasn't PLRS more intended as a PSA for wearing seatbelts instead of a gadget?

Yes, it was a passenger safety alternative over a seatbelt.
