Can't remember the last time it was on netflix but it's been a few years. Saw this online yesterday. They say it could be a test to test the waters and see if it's worth it or not to have knight rider come back as a movie or tv series again. They did the same thing to stir up interest and test the waters for a Greatest American Hero revival series when William Katt worked closely with a comic book company to recreate the pilot episode in a modern day comic book series. A pilot was filmed starring Hannah Simone from the series New Girl, a Fox tv series as the starring heroine (Which would have been the 2nd time they decided to recreate the series with a woman as the lead) but it was never green lit for a series.

Hopefully it will do well. We know David Hasselhoff has mentioned wanting to do a sequel series just like Cobra Kai on netflix. It also might make more interest and progress in the Spyglass media group feature film project. Lets hope.

Very glad to see the classic series return to Netflix after a several year absence! Also very happy to see "Knight Rider 2000" stream on there for the very first time, although I had hoped that it would get the HD treatment and not just an upload of the DVD version. Now we just need to wait and see if TKR and the 2008 series make their debut on Netflix at some point. Honestly, I'm really surprised none of this has made it to Peacock yet. Some of it's available on the NBC app, but not on Peacock at all. Very weird how NBCU is handling things these days.
