I was sitting at a local shopping centre waiting for my kids hair to be cut. There were a stack of these "Seattle Child" magazines there. Check out the cover!
And the pic with the article about how to pack lunch for your kid or something.
A pleasant surprise in the middle of my day!

Oh hey dude, that's sick! Where do you live that you get to see this stuff? Here in New Jersey I've never seen anything KR related other than a GM commercial starring KITT a few years ago.

Well, I'll leave my location as a mystery you can solve with some context clues here.
Some areas are a little Hipstery out here, so you get stuff like this showing up. There's also a ton of anachronistic stuff and there are large parts of the area where the Dream of the 90's is still alive -- it all kinda fits in with the quirky character of the place.. Honestly it's a welcome relief. I spent the first 33 years of my life in NJ, moved out here 2 years ago. My only complaints are that I didn't leave Jersey 5 years sooner, the pizza here sucks and they of course have never heard of Taylor Ham.
Where abouts in Jersey are you? I grew up mostly in Morris County, with a ton of family still in Bergen County.
Damn, I need a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese, STAT!

Haha, I use to live in Union up North of Jersey actually, but I moved down here to Monroe about 2 years ago. I'm not too sure about where you live, but judging from some of the clues you've given me I might guess somewhere down South?

Mechanicjay, I live just north of Seattle in Edmonds, WA. Awesome find, I'll have to see if I can spot this in person myself now!

Hey neighbor! I'm just a stone's throw away, in Lake Forest Park.

It's bizarre how the lunch box just steals the whole scene. Better yet, is this odd magazine 'vintage' or 'modern'? After all, barber shops have been known to generate jokes about having some ancient reading material. But, that mag doesn't look aged or worn out.

Brand new issue, out this week:

I agree, the lunchbox is oddly prominent. I wonder if the author or photographer is a big fan or something

Mechanicjay, I tried to send you a PM. Let me know if you got it or not since a lot of the board's functions are wonky right now. If not, feel free to contact me at
knightridergenerations@icloud.com privately.

I'd actually warn against giving out contact links like that on the board, KFCreator. The whole site gets a lot of bots and some might harvest a link like that for spam databases. I don't fully know what all of them do. But, from the daily spamming that the link's entry function got, it wasn't good.
