Seeing as the Weinstein Co has brought onboard Brad Copeland to pen a draft script, does anyone here think the possible feature film could be gaining some traction?

I don't get that statement. A lot of what KITT can do an iPhone can't.knightfever wrote:"The question for Copeland is how to craft a new car (the show’s KITT was renowned for its ability to talk) in an era when much of what KITT could do can be handled by Siri or a garden-variety iPhone."
By "serious" I mean the movie should be some what believable just like Batman Begins and Dark Knight, Dark Knight Rises kind of went overboard with way too much going on and became incoherent. The camp and cheese worked well for the original but it wont work today, if they follow the Avengers/Iron Man route then the KR movie will simply become another summer movie that people watch once and then forget about because it will have no re-watch value.Michael Pajaro wrote:I think all of us are a little concerned about the film being a flat-out comedy. But I think going the serious Batman route is going to far. It goes against the spirit of the original series.I say, go the Avengers/Iron Man route: lots of comedy, but it's still primarily an action film.
And let's not get too far ahead ourselves just yet. We really don't have any solid information at all about the movie. (Of course, speculation is half the fun of the forum so don't let me stop you!)
I believe that was Revolution Studios back in the early 2000's that wanted a KITT that didn't speak.tharpdevenport wrote:Wasn't Warner Bros. the one a few years ago that wanted no talking K.I.T.T. in a proposed KR movie?
Man Of Steel has really polarized the audience, people either love it or hate. My opinion is that it is a horrible movie, it didn't even feel like a Superman movie, more like a Michael Bay Transformers destruction fest with Superman thrown in there.AppleMacri1980 wrote:Well Man Of Steel did good i mean Superman is about a alien baby coming here and growing up to be earth's savor. It said in The Christopher Reeve version about it made us believe a man can fly
Yes I echo what your saying Michael..Michael Pajaro wrote:I think all of us are a little concerned about the film being a flat-out comedy. But I think going the serious Batman route is going to far.
