Knight Rider - The Songs

The episodes Knights in the Fast Lane in the television series Knight Rider appears the songs "The Romantics - Talking In Your Sleep” in 1983 and also Knight Of The Drones “The Jacksons - Torture” in 1984 and I would like to know who chose the songs in series Knight Rider?

im not sure who chose what songs that appeared in the show i suspect the production or reasearch staff i think i am right in thinking that knight rider was the first eposodic tv show to have hit or very well known songs appear(all be it with studio artists not the origonal artists as i believe it was far to expensive to aquire the copywrite for the original song)but proninant artists included bob segar pat benetar fleetwood mac and even the rolling stones and some vocals by someone called david hassellhoff
the new edition even featured in the episode "knight song"
(it was miami vice that was the first tv show to usthe acual original recordings)

I thought Knight Rider did an outstanding job of music selection. The two you mention above are good examples of how the music was used to set the scene. I especially liked "Torture" when it was played over the landscape shots of San Francisco in Knight of the Drones. Very dramatic, hip, and epic for its time.
