Anyone Remember Turbo Teen?
I always thought this was an attempt to grab some of the Knight Rider fans (at the time) with a Saturday morning cartoon. There are some very basic similaraties to KR. The car looks like a Trans Am for one...
Here's a link for the opening of the cartoon.

I saw couple of clips on youtube. it do look like KR in a way. but this do give an idea of making a KR cartoon. why not? we did have Back to the future cartoon. so why not KR? it will increase the number of people who will be interested to see the show.

Though that seems a good idea on paper in the Western Hemisphere Cartoon = Kids Show, and I don't think that would do anything to help the cause of Knight Rider.

I don't think this is the case at all any more. It may have been some years ago, but now you have shows like Family Guy, Simpsons (hmmm, that's been on for 20 years now), American Dad. All of these are shows I won't be allowing my son to watch.rwmu wrote:Though that seems a good idea on paper in the Western Hemisphere Cartoon = Kids Show, and I don't think that would do anything to help the cause of Knight Rider.
I, for one, have watched Season 1 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well.
KR could easily be made into an animated series for teens and adults, as Star Wars has been.

Re: Anyone Remember Turbo Teen?
I think the first set of show you mentioned get away with it because of the comedy element within those shows. As for Clone Wars I haven't see any so I can't comment.
I personally belive we are still way behind the Japanese in accepting animation as another for of presentation, as far as the general population is concerened unless they are comedy, cartoons are kids and geeks.
So I think we will have to agree to differ and wait for other opinions.

Re: Anyone Remember Turbo Teen?
Turbo-Teen was awesome! A couple years ago at a toy show, I was able to pick up a snap together model of Turbo-Teen. I think it was the only merchandise they ever made.

Re: Anyone Remember Turbo Teen?
I remember that show! I think turbo teen's name was Brett? He'd turn into the car if he got hot/warm but revert back to human form if he got cold. It'd be bad if he was chasing a villain and a rain storm started...LOL! I did enjoy the show. The car form definitely reminded me of KITT, except this one was red.
