David Hasselhoff i only Michael Knight.

Without David Hasselhoff no real Knight Rider.

Glen Larson think about it without Hasselhoff this film sucks like NBC series.

Fans from Poland wants to see David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight- he is original Knight Rider forever!

I'm sorry but you're either going to have to accept that Michael Knight has to be changed for the sake of starting from THE BEGINNING which means he has to be YOUNGER, or go back and enjoy your dvd collection where David will always be Michael Knight in all his 80s glory.

No one is disrespecting David's iconic status as the one and only Michael Knight we all admire and look up to. No one is trying to replace him with means to make him "better", the necessity to recast Michael Knight is a requirement of the story direction that has been chosen. David will always be Michael Knight for the series, that will never change.

Saying the motion picture will tank/fail because it doesn't have David Hasselhoff playing Michael Knight is both unfair and childish. It might be your opinion and that's fine but don't declare it as some sort of fact.

mark wahlberg would be cool, he does that role well. or that guy from supernatural.

I still say, if you're doing a reboot, like in the planned big screen movie, WILL SMITH!!!

Who's more likely to say something like "what is this, darth vader's bathroom?" is it mark wahlberg or will smith? I say the latter! he did that sort of comment in Independence Day when he was in the alien spacecraft and said "I have GOT to get me one of these!!"

I admit... I'd like Tom Welling as the role. He's got the look, so to speak, but unfortunately all audiences are going to see when they look at him is Clark bloody Kent. Other than that rather insurmountable obstacle, I'd cast him.

With that in mind, I wouldn't mind Alex O'Loughlin (from Moonlight) in the role, but probably only because he's Australian...

He doesn't really have "the look".

I would go with Matt Damon! I think he could handle the serious stuff with also a sense of humor!

He has also shown over the years that he can be a very versatile actor so I would have to give him some thought, not to mention he was great in the Bourne Movies!

Funny you use this photo, it's on page 81 of The Knight Rider Companion and happens to be the exact photo I pointed out to David at the UK shoot that made his eyes light up and a smile spread across his face. He was very happy to see it in his Q&A section because it brought back a lot of pleasent memories for him.

David Hasseloff will always be Knight Rider in my book. Though I felt Justin Bruen did a good job as the continuing as the next generation.

Snoop Dogg would be cursing at K.I.T.T. throughout the movie, Van-Damme is just not suited for the franchise of Knight Rider at all and Jason Statham would make a good villain for Knight Rider because Jason Statham is more of an anti-hero type rather than a "heroic knight" that David Hasselhoff displayed in TOS. Justin Bruening did a decent of job of carrying the mantle of Michael Knight and I think that he could still be utilized to remain as Michael Knight if Glen A. Larson were reboot the story of Knight Rider for the motion picture.
The only thing that needs to be established is that the film is in "No Way Of Any Connection To KR08" and that the only connection is does have to TOS is that the story is being retold in the same vein as James Bond & Batman.
