The North American actor Spencer Barret Oliver was born on August 24, 1973, in Los Angeles, in California, in the US. In 1982, Oliver Barret was being offered more significant, speaking papers in films of the resource Kiss Me Goodbye, Jekyll and Hyde…Together Again, and Uncommon Valor. There was also a character well developed by him in Knight Rider pilot episode for television, and in one more pilot for The Circle Family that not to develop for the expected series.

Even in the month of March 1983, the casting directors of The NeverEnding Story still had not found his ideal Bastian, and Oliver Barret was called to return the audition. The agents were frightened that he had so much expired in few months, and they were impressed with the trust that he read the scene with Bastian. The NeverEnding Story was filmed in Munich during the spring and summer of 1983, in Germany and was premiered in April of 1984. Barret Oliver participated in the television series (The Incredible Hulk-1981), (The Family Circle-1982), (Highway to Heaven-1984), and also the films (The NeverEnding Story-1984), (D.A.R.Y.L-1985) and (Cocoon: The Return-1988).

The actor Oliver Barret participated in the television series Knight Rider two episodes was "Knight of the Phoenix" on September 26, 1982.
