Hey!
When we were out on set in the beginning of September, we had some footage that we couldn't air until the episode did. Now with the 2nd episode airing, we've been give go ahead to post this footage!

This is a 20+ minute interview Michael and I did with Elan Dassani, Rajeev Dassani and Stephan Fleet - those in charge of the VFX (and frequent visitors to this site). We discuss with them turbo boost as well as alot of other fun things - please let us know your feedback!
regards,
neil

I loved watching this presentation! They seriously have the funnest part on making this show, I think.
You know, about Turbo Boost being shown during the second episode, I feel the editors should let us really savor the moments of what we should be able to see. ahhh....this is hard to explain without making this long. here I go:
The racing scene goes with KITT and Mike switching to Attack mode, then they have to turbo boost over a car; and at while they are reaching just the last 200 yards or so, they switch back to normal mode in mid air before landing back on the ground. These SFX designers had an awesome live filming sequence where it shows the car KITT just jumped over, and panning over to the left showing where KITT was going to land. If it weren't for that damn dialog between Mike and KITT in the air, we would have seen a sweet ass turbo boost shot that would have shut up every disgruntled fan of Knight Rider. They had the CG KITT doing the whole thing..I'm hoping with this in mind, the live footage crew will do something along the lines to what a certain SFX crew did way back in '92 with Back To The Future 2. Do you guys follow me? Seemless jump and landing from CG KITT to real KITT. And I believe in Knight Rider's SFX crew, because they can make anything look real.
Anyways, if you're reading this NBC, you've impressed me alot, and I love the guys you recruited.

I thought they can use real car for Turbo Boost, take any old cheap car, film it jumping and then meke it to the Mustang with CGI, it would be more realistic. This is just an idea, maybe any member of VFX team could answer to this my idea if this is possible or not. Anyway, thank you, for your hard work on Knight Rider, VFX team, and thank you Neil and Michael for this video

I just noticed that about half way through the computer they are showing the video clips on suddenly changes from an Apple OS to Windows OS. Did you guys move to a different computer part way through filming?
