On the original series, what kind of shoes does Michael Knight wear?

I read that he wore boots and later on in season 2,3,4 he wore sneakers.If you look closely at his shoes before and during a chase scene you will notice a different pair almost every time.Stock footage does that.

I thought I read somewhere that Lucchese boots

I probably know more about western-type boots than I ever should know.
