Knight Rider: 26 years young today

On this date, 26 years ago - the pilot of Knight Rider aired for the first time on NBC. Who knew then that it could touch so many of our lives back then and connect us all now.

The future of KR is really amazing right now. Congrats to Glen Larson for his original vision, all the Cast & Crew of the original Pilot and for all the excitement that lies ahead!

Although the pilot aired a little later in the UK, it could of even been early 83, it feels strange it was 26 years ago and I can still remember the first time I saw it.

It had a huge impact on me and its the TV show I will still be fond of in another 26 years time, I'm sure.

We got it in mid-February '83. I believe it was the 17th in the London area, but the tv regions weren't always in sync with each other. Season 2, for example, began in London on November 17, '83, but the northern regions got it about 2 weeks ahead of us.
