Errr the garage in the pilot was Charles Graiman's, while this new KITT CAVE is in a different location altogether. It has been said (not directly in the episode though, but through some interviews) that this first episode is timed SEVEN MONTHS after the pilot, just like in reality seven months have passed since the February pilot. So I take it that in these seven months a lot of things have happened.

Yeah, but I do agree if someone said that they should have put a note in the episode itself that this is seven months after the pilot, to not confuse those who's not following the news.
"If Darth Vader had a KITT bathroom, then he would have ruled the galaxy far far away since a long long time ago..." *LASER!* :good:

The series isn't a literal continuation from the 2-hour movie, it's a semi-reboot. The events that happened in February did not necessarily take place as far as the series concerned.

Micheal, it makes me wonder though if Mike met his dad or how he knew his father's name? I hope they will cover all that in upcoming series. And is his mother really gone, etc? If it's a reboot, then it will make more questions left to answer (but too, more story ideas, I'm sure :) ).
