Re: Ski Mode
Not too sure mate, they may have a derivative of Ski Mode but know one knows as of yet. I cant see it my self because the new Kitt has some pretty thin tires on, making it difficult to drive on two wheels realistically, unless they do it in CGI. Who knows eh? Ski mode was a very prominent feature in the TOS so I for one would like to see its return, its just a problem of whether it would be a pratical stunt or not, or too unrealistic with CGI. We`ll have to wait and see.
Re: Ski Mode
yeah man, I liked it too, but if they can do a Turbo Boost jump in CGI, they should be able to do Ski Mode easy, but who knows.......

Re: Ski Mode
Thin tires yes, but like in the pilot they will most likely use a regular Mustang GT for high end stunts which does not have thin tires. Infact there was a split second in the pilot when you could see that the moving stunt car had smaller rims.

Re: Ski Mode
Hi all, first time caller, long time listener.
I can't see them doing a Ski Mode, but you never know.
I am concerned about a CGI Turbo Boost. I don't think CGI is good enough to make it look convincing and I feel a lot of people are going to be disappointed. I rather have no Turbo Boost than a crappy looking Turbo Boost.

Re: Ski Mode
i'm also concerned about cgi Turbo Boost.....Remember tghe remake of "Gone in Sixty Seconds"? The jump at the end looked horrible. I guess we'll see. But Turbo Boost without Ski Mode is like a shoe without a sock.

Re: Ski Mode
Well, luckily technology has significantly improved in the eight years since Gone in 60 Seconds was released. It should look better than the KITT models they used when the show's budget was slashed. Ski Mode isn't nearly as big a deal to me. Tubro Boost is the stunt everyone thinks about with Knight Rider and was used in almost every episode, how many times was Ski Mode used?
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

Re: Ski Mode
I was thinking the same thing... I can only recall Ski Mode (i.e. where MK hits the Ski Mode button) used a handful of times across the series. There were a number of times where KITT (or KARR) ended up on two wheels though.PHOENIXZERO wrote:Tubro Boost is the stunt everyone thinks about with Knight Rider and was used in almost every episode, how many times was Ski Mode used?
I do seem to remember a 'backwards' Ski Mode!
Re: Ski Mode
i actually see it on dvd more than i recall it when it was first on tv. Still, though, it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish with CGI if they can do Turbo Boost. They did it with a limo in 'Never Mess with Zohan', and it was pretty decent. And that was in a comical sense, I thought it looked better than I would have expected. But it would be nice to see KITT Skiing again.

Re: Ski Mode
they also did it with a Camaro in Transformers (CGI
). It was always a pretty neat stunt.
