Old fashion stunts

Post by MURDOCK » Thu Jul 24, 2008 5:15 am

I saw an episode of smallville couple of years back where it reunited the duke boys with a dodge charger, one of them was clark kents father or something and they did a jump and some sliding n stuff, all the cgi and techno stuff is great but they should do some basic stunt driving as well ski mode turbo boost,it hasent been seen for a while and would look great again done right like a repeat of that jump from bad rock season one at indian dunes, that b awesome.imagine the mess it would make of that mustang those big wheels would be bent to *?$#,What size ate they ????17?18?inch.Regards a irish kr fan for life

two wheel driving (Ski Mode) is a lost art. I am always amazed at how the driver can just balance the car on its side wheels like that. It would be nice if this KITT could have 2 Ski Modes, one for the left tires and one for the right tires. The first KITT on drove Ski Mode on the right tires.

KITT did drive in ski mode on both his left and right in 'Slammin' Sammy's Stunt Show Spectacular' although events in that particular sequence stopped it from being as cool as when KITT just pulls it out of thin air.
One of my favourite scenes of Knight Rider to this day is from the pilot when KITT uses Ski Mode to get between those two cars in the destruction derby. If only they could pay homage to that in a racing episode, i say a episode because i think it would look very stupid if done with the Hotrod KI3T

yes KITT did drive on both sides, only in that episode, but he used ramps, so the question is did he use the ski mode function, or just use the ramps?

I always assumed he did because the daughter said something on the lines of 'no one can do it on both sides' and Sammy said 'let him find out for himself'

KITT drove on both in "slammin sammy's......" MK even makes a point of asking which wheels they wanted him to use, he was goaded into doing both....

i totally agree, it should be brought back though, would be great in a traffic jam

I thought b/c he didn't hit the Ski Mode button, and he used the ramps, it wasn't the function........but anyway....this show NEEDS old fashion stunts mixed into it to survive.....and seeing as no other shows now have these types of stunts, KR 08 would be a hit. TOS had to contend with other car stunt oriented shows, the Dukes, Fall Guy, and even to some extend the A-Team.....
