Prometheus Project mentioned in TKR!

Post by FuzzieDice » Sun Jul 13, 2008 6:08 pm

I'm watching TKR on Hulu.com. In the episode Iron Maden, the Prometheus project is mentioned, and mentioned the Pentagon! So, I wonder if they did a nod to TKR as well in the new KR Pilot?

And, it appears that the bad guys (well girl) stole something from the Prometheus project - and gave it to Mobeus (sp). If you remember in the very last episode was it where he kidnapped KITT's CPU aboard Sky One?

So.... there is a connection to the new KITT and Prometheus in the new series - wonder if they are going to use that same connection. Maybe the new KITT has parts of the old KITT's CPU or something?

Pentagon - The original KITT mentioned he first came online in Washington DC. Maybe as part of the Prometheus Project? (though in TKR Prometheus was HQ'd in Colorado but the Pentagon was mentioned so it might be a nod there too).

I remember that. Everytime I watch NCIS and see Ducky, I think of Mobius! 8)
KNIGHT RIDER RELOADED is a series of movies on Youtube to represent a different creative avenue to the Knight Rider we knew in 2008-09.

it would be nice for the new series to try to tie up loose ends if they could...

for example, the mustang does not have the original KITT cpu because that is in a red car in Seattle....

there was an earlier attempt by the government who had previously had dealings with and knowledge of FLAG (but without any of the original Knight industries people) to initiate a new project with more than one AI driven vehicle and and several operatives called Team Knight Rider (which is why they never had MBS)

Charles Graiman would obviously know Devon Miles and would have attended the funeral as portrayed in KR2000, which could be referenced. In fact, as I type, the idea occurs that on screen we saw the friction between MK and Russell Maddock so is it feasible that MK met CG again (after many years) at DMs funeral and expressed his dismay at RM's deviance from Wiltons methods and that THIS was the catalyst that spurred CG to make Ki3t...??? Bearing in mind from the KR08 show, we only see MK in one scene without any other cast members apart from his son, MT so there is nothing on screen to support or discredit anything....

is that too neat?? as i see it, its almost possible to tie in ALL variations of the franchise (apart from kr2010 which should have been titled "mad max2010...")

and TKR and KR08 both reference 'Prometheus...' so how about making it the SAME thing that the blackriver guys are (still) after and their client is Mobius.... ?

any comments on the theories are welcome.....

That would be awesome! However, I just saw the last episode (finally saw all of them) and in the very last one, KITT is stolen by Mobius.

Also in it Dante was badly destroyed, then he went under the water and then he completely repaired himself and came up - repaired himself like the new KI3T does with the NT!

but the final episode of TKR was never resolved, its perfectly plausible that what Mobius stole was a decoy and not the original K2000 processor...

and we need to bend the timeline a little and suggest that KR2000 was a project name not the date that it occurred, so it happens BEFORE TKR as it did to the viewing public...

ive just thought of something...

in TKR do they ever mention Devon Miles was actually dead??

they mention in KRO that a guy (whos name escapes me) was 'handpicked to replace Devon Miles' but i don't recall them mentioning why he needed replacing...

so maybe we dont need to bend the timelines at all, maybe devon just left FLAG before the TKR project was started and was working on other methods of dealing with things before he met Russ Maddock. I dont recall FLAG actually being mentioned in the KR2000 movie, it was Knight Industries so is it possible that it all happened within the same universe and in the right timeline?

In the TKR episode KRO, they refer to Devon as "the late Devon Miles..." and also that the Foundation had 5 years with Michael and KITT. This was supposedly set in the present, 1997-98. With KR2K, set in the year 2000, Michael left the Foundation in 1990, or after 8 years. I think "KRO" effectively eliminates TKR from possibility when talking continuity. But KR2K is another story...was anything said/done in KR08 that would make the events in KR2K not possible?

I don't remember, but I hope they do.... *KR2000 music starts playing in his head..... Gets even more depressed.*
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

theoretically if Michael Long can be 'killed off to protect his identity" then why couldnt Devon have had the same situation? Not to mention the first episode of the new series which hints at 'a man who does not exsist' but the title role is already cast...'

we ARE after all, talking about bending timelines and mythology and its with that in mind that im posting....

Well, for the KR '08's third season premiere in 2010, they could have a story where Mike Trace(u)r gets knocked out and KI3T frazzled, KI3T wanders aimlessly into the desert wth a load of junk like mattresses and tyres strapped to the Mustang's roof and hood, have it drive about randomly in the desert for a bit and stumble across an illegal rave party with weird music and holograms, then Mike could come round, wander back to civilization and describe how he'd had this weird dream...
