Custom KITT project

Post by Avenger95 » Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:00 pm

Long time fan, first time poster.

I am getting ready to do a partial KITT conversion on my white 1995 Dodge Avenger. Yes, its totally different and off the beaten path of normal conversions, which is why I am doing it.

I say partial because the custom paint job I am getting will make it appear as if my car is in mid-transformation into KITT, much like how the new KITT works in the new Knight Rider. The first half of the car with be the traditional black gloss then it will either fade or have a peeling-paint look as it makes its way to the back.

I'll be adding the scanner of course, as well as a street cam embedded with it, and a custom fit, fully functional dash set with all the digital meters.

The only oddball item that will be added is the new Knight Rider GPS system which comes out this August. For those that have yet to see it, here is a link to it: http://gizmodo.com/5019065/mios-knight- ... rive-video

It's a work in progress that won't see much until next spring/early summer. But I will continue to give updates as things come along, I might even post pictures! And if anyone here has some good ideas or suggestions, I'm all ears.

Another great addition to the car as well as any other KR fan, the KITT License Plate Cover: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Knight-R ... 0247710221
