Replica owner in the NYC area?

Post by neps » Tue Jun 17, 2008 7:59 pm

Hey,

Was contacted by an organization needing a replica. I was just seeing if there were any replica owners available in the NYC area for an event this coming Monday. I know it's short notice, but I wanted to see if there was any one available. Right now it's a maybe of this happening, but it would be paid and the replica would need to be as close to 100% complete as possible.

Feel free to pass this around to other forums or friends and email me at neil at knightrideronline dot com if you're interested or have further questions.

Thanks!

Neil

Try contacting Scott Rice (KnightNY) on the Knight Registries. I know he's located in Long Island. Theres one other guy I know of in Forest Hills Queens. I'll Forward the thread to him! What's the event?

Hm...I know of a replica right in my own home town of Valley Stream, but it's not really an accurate replica. I believe all that was done to it was have a front nose added. I have not seen it up close because it's parked in the owner's driveway and I've never really gotten that good a look at it (wouldn't want the guy who lives there to think I'm snooping around his car). I know the street and I'll zoom in and snap a picture of it with my digital camera, but as I said it isn't a full conversion so I don't think it qualifies.

Scott Rice is your best bet Neil! His car is amazing! I have seen it in person and spoken with him, I am sure he will do it!

Here's some shots of the replica I was talking about above. Sorry about the glare in most of the shots; due to the time of day there wasn't much I could do about that. They're mostly zoomed in because I didn't want to be intrusive. It appears as if the owner added just a front nose and a gullwing steering wheel. Still cool to see a replica on the streets, though.
