My theory

On Charles Graiman. We all hear complaints that it wasn't Charles who developed Kitt (and to me, Kitt is the 2000 model). After watching the pilot, I came up with a theory. Wilton Knight developed Karr, and failed, Karr was dangerous to human life and was thus deactivated. This is where Graiman enters the scene and using Wilton's plans, he develops a similar vehicle, Kitt. The new model is almost completely the same as Wilton's design with some updates and a completely re-designed AI with the purpouse of protecting human life. Ki3t (this is how I call the new one) states that his primary diractive is the same and here is the connection, the "Graiman Factor", and it's not about the car, but the AI. The Kitt Trans Am was built by Wilton Knight, the Ki3t Mustang was probably built by Graiman, but both AI's were developed by Graiman.
