So, like most of you I was watching the movie, and when I saw this particular image below, I IMMEDIATELY felt like I had seen it before. I am almost positive that they used this same stretch of road in the original Knight Rider shows. Here is a screenshot I took from the KR movie...
Of course, I am sure that there are a million stretches of road that look identical to this one, but I wouldn't put it past Larson to do something like this for us.

yes! they went to the same road they used at least 6 times during the original series... there was an interview somewhere that explained it.

I found this after googling Grapevine California, where that old road used in Knight Rider is located. You can take a tour of the old road system and I could make out where alot of old stuff was filmed. Pretty cool.
