K.A.R.R.'s Paint Job Inspired By Corvette?

Post by Lost Knight » Fri Jan 26, 2007 10:32 pm

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the similarities between the 1978 Corvette Pace Car's paint job and K.A.R.R.'s? It's pretty much a slightly exaggerated version of K.A.R.R. Have a look...

I do wonder sometimes. I thought they went for that so it would appear easy, quick, and cheap for the guy that "adopted" KARR after he left the beach.
Of course, I've also seen the same paintjob on a Ram truck..

either way you cut it that 2 tone paint job on the vette looks sweet.

I actually saw a Firebird / Trans Am model kit somewhere that was done up in those colors. '82 or '83 version. It even had the red pinstripe going around it!

I agree, that 'vette looks AWESOME! :)

Heck, I think THAT could have been more likely KARR than the '82 T/A because of the fact KARR came before KITT and KITT was made in '82.

That would have looked cooloer, too. ;)

No doubt they took inpsiration from somewhere, so you could well be right.

I do like the way KARR is painted, especially in model form it looks great.

I like the red pin stripe, think it would have looked good on KARR too.
