Hotwheels made a 1:64 with the correct nose and scanner (not just a sticker) and a molded dash with t-tops. Its very accurate for as small as it is.

On the first picture it doesn't look like KITT has a scanner, is it the painted or red plastic version?
Considering the level of detail I don't understand why they gave KARR a black interior??

I just bought the small ERTL car a few days ago. I sculpted the hood ramscoop from epoxy and repainted the whole car black with some red as the scanner on the nose.

The scanner is actually transparent red plastic. The camera just didn't pick it up.
Funny thing. I didn't realize the interior differences until I took the photos

I don't like the angle of the rear lights on the 1:64 ERTL, looks more like a Camaro than Firebird.
PBH: My KITT also has red transparent lense and was so disappointed when I got KARR which was painted. Apparently there are KITTs out there with painted scanners like KARR
