According to this week's issues of Auto Express (No 951) in the UK, the new KITT is going to be a Koenigsegg...

Thats the papers just getting a hold of OLDDDD news that's long since been proven fake. It was a fan made poster they've croped and stuck in there.
Devon-"Shall we drink to the start of.."
Michael-"Of what?"
Devon-"One mans Dream"

J-Knight - I was going to say the same thing when I saw that. I think didn't Weinstein even say (after the poster was released) that none of the internet photos or ideas were in consideration?

Someone should write the paper and let them know to print a retraction.

I think a simple "Oops, we screwed up" is in order. I hate misleading or false news.

I hope they stick with a firebird for the new Kitt. Maybe a 2002 or something. Although I guess they'd have to make Kitt a new car. Has anyone else heard that firebirds are coming back? I'm not sure how true it is, but I heard they were going to be modeled after the older ones. Kind of like the Newer mustangs are modeled after the '65's.

Oh geez ... the "new" concept design based on the 1970's TransAm looks absolutely dreadful!

I cant imagine KITT in such an ugly shell like that. It looks so ... wrong!

As KITT himself might say ... "Ugh! Unforgiveable!"

Well, I LOVE the look! But agree it's no KITT. More like a Trigger of the 21st Century than a KITT!

I just ordered one of Kevin's "Bring Back The Trans-Am" T-Shirts today. :) I love those cars!

I wish there was one of a Pontiac 6000 though.

I also still have (and wear) the KITT on Green Matrix T-Shirt.

Looks more like a Corvette to me to be honest, but still I like it :)

I'm just reminded of the ep "soul survivor" where Micheal is telling KITT its not the car that makes him who he is. To that end, it really doesn't matter if KITT is a Trans AM, a minivan (god forbid) or a gorgeous super car.

The original car made quite an impact back in the days. As much as people like to say KITT was discrete, he wasn't. The car stood out and looked the part. Times have since moved on and if the movie is to succeed so does the car. The new Camaro (and possibly firebird if it happens) ironically goes against the 80's version. KITT was and should be a sleek machine. Something that this supercar is. I have no issues if that is the new KITT.....not that I believe this is!

Look it from another perspective. In the 80's, KITT looked futuristic. You need the new KITT to be the same.....not some retro-styled vehicle. If the film was intentionally retro, then the original KITT would be perfect but all signs point to a new reboot.

I guess you're right. Though many didn't like Knight Rider 2000, I found it entertaining, and it also goes to show you that KITT is a personality in a computer, and not just a car, as did Soul Survivor. And then they touched on that again in TKR as KITT was in a small globe, appearing as a human in shadow form, with a different voice altogether.

In fact, for all we know, KITT could very well be planted into an android even, or a mega super-computer controlling a whole fleet of cars, or whatever will handle the CPU.

KITT, it seems, has been hinted at as being not the car, but the sentient AI computer program running the car (or whatever else he happens to be hooked up to).

I'm with FuzzieDice, I do love the new Camaro/Firebird/(also-heard-it-might-be-the-new-GTO), but it probably wouldn't really fit KITT.
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"
